Elevate your designs with beautiful textures
When it comes to creating patterns, I am always on the look out for new ways to incorporate beautiful textures into my designs.
The good news is that when you design in Procreate it is very easy to introduce depth and interest to your patterns or illustrations using textures.

What brushes are included in the set?
This set includes 4 brushes I have created myself that will help you in your pattern design or illustration work.
Textured Drawing Brush
This brush can be used like any brush you would use to ink your designs but is full of a flecked, speckled texture.
It also has slightly rough edges giving it more the feel of a paintbrush than a digital brush and is pressure sensitive meaning you can achieve thick or thin strokes depending on the pressure you use on your stylus.
Crackle
This is a great brush to use if you are looking to achieve a vintage or weathered look to your design or illustration! It gives the effect of cracked paint or china.
You could create a seamless background texture using this brush or use it on a clipping mask over your pattern motifs.
Speckled
This brush can be used to add areas of texture to your pattern or illustration or could also be used as a shader.
Weave
I love to use this brush at very low opacity to add an all-over texture to my patterns.
You can see in the pattern below I have used it on the foreground images to create a textured feel and if you look closely I have also used it in the bakground using another colour.
